The raffle winners will be drawn at the Street Fair on May 20th. Winners do not need to be present to win. All raffle winners will be contacted with instructions to claim their prize.
Raffle tickets can be purchased with a credit card online or at the front desks of Hudson or Duane with cash or check.
All items must be claimed by the end of the school year – June 15th. Most items can be picked up at the school (Duane Street location!). However, details of the specific pick up instructions for your item(s) will be arranged and communicated to you subsequent to the auction closing on Sunday, May 21st.
On Monday, May 15th the online auction will go live and can be found on wmsbenefit.org and then clicking on the Online Auction link. Bidding will be conducted “eBay style,” with registered bidders able to enter straight bids or proxy bids, bids which automatically increment in fixed amounts when other bidders surpass the previous high bid. The auction web site will contain full descriptions of each item, including photos, any donor restrictions, etc. and will show bidding activity for each item.
As part of the secure registration process, you will create a bidder ID and password, and can enter your credit card information to be used for any items that you win.
Teacher playdates are available to bid on in the online auction. Teachers will offer different ‘playdates’ to bid on and the winner’s child (and usually a friend too!) will go with the teachers on whatever the described activity is (for example, a trip to the Central Park Zoo).
All proceeds from this year’s online auction and raffle go toward ongoing operations and programming at The Washington Market School.
The auction will be open for bidding from May 15th through May 21st. The auction is entirely online, and the link will be available on this website.
